Movie Review: FUN MOVIE and GREAT MUSIC!
Summary: 5 Stars
I absolutely love this movie. Though it is far fetched, it's from the 80's, so what would you expect. I love the chemistry between Chris Atkins and Kristy McNichol and I'd love it if they made a sequel to this movie. I used to watch this as a teen and I loved the romance of it all. The music is great, there is some decent comedy (which I now fully understand) and the acting is good. It's a nice movie to get lost in for a little while and forget your troubles, chores, etc. I just wish I could find the soundtrack on cd for this movie though.Movie Review: The Pirate Movie.....Done Right

I wish other studios that release what are considered older movies could follow this example. This movie is from the early 80's and it is in widescreen with 5.1 sound with great visual transfer. This movie is so funny to see now after all these years. It's really enjoyable to watch all the cheezy singing and choreography. It's funny how when you are older you finally understand the sexual undertone of things and the humor. Kristy McNichol is still one of the best actresses to start out as a child actor to grown up actor.Movie Review: Poofing

if you are a die hard G&S fan this is NOT the movie for you , however if you love a cheesy spoof of a classical opera you will love this one. some of the tunes are the same but watch your words snd you will die laughing! when this first came out me and my friends watched it all the time, so much we were banned from seeing it by my friends mother, well since it came out on DVD I sent her a copy! she called laughing so hard and then told me she loves it! check it out this is one of those old time Cult classics.Movie Review: Soundtrack on CD PLEASE!!

I love this movie!! I was so glad to see it finally come out on DVD. I had it on VHS and had just about worn it out. Thanks to the company that released it on DVD that it is widescreen!! I love Kristy McNichol, Christopher Atkins, and Ted Hamilton. I know it's a bit goofy, but it's fun and leaves a smile on your face. I also love the musical numbers - so PLEASE release the soundtrack on CD. Who wants to be stuck with a cassette tape or LP these days??Movie Review: A fun Movie

from the first time I ever saw this movie I liked it. When I found it on DVD I had to get it. I love the music and the humor. I love the take they did on the pirates of pensance. If you are looking for that movie, this is not it...but it is a fun and enjoyable lite romantic musical. I do wish it had more special features, but that is just me. I like special features.
I do recommend getting this movie if you just need watch something silly and fun.
