Movie Reviews of The Pink PantherMovie Review: A great film, but as a comedy, worn out slightly. Summary: 4 Stars
When I went over to my friend Sam's birthday sleepover, a lot of stuff happened. Everyone teased me because of my height and bad swordsman skills (don't ask), I learned how to play poker, and also, we popped in a movie called THE PINK PANTHER STRIKES AGAIN.
I, intrigued by the film, decided to investigate the series. Two months later, I then bought the boxed set with my allowance. I put in THE PINK PANTHER, and liked it alot. I especially loved Peter Sellers and David Niven's performance. Blake Edwards is the Alfred Hitchcock to comedy. I also loved the title sequence. The humor is focused more on Peter Sellers stupidity. It's sort of one of those movies that are hilarious, yet you never laugh-out-loud.
In all, great performances and decent direction make a great comedy.

Movie Review: Madcap 4 Stars
Stylish and sexy film successfully mixes humor and caper elements
in lavish settings with great Mancini soundtrack. The first of the Pink Panther series where Peter Sellers' Inspector Clouseau is one of several principal characters, which in this viewer's mind, makes for a superior outing. Excellent cast headed by David Niven, as legendary jewel thief, a young Robert Wagner as a wannabe jewel thief, Claudia Cardinale and Capucine as Clouseau's not terribly faithful wife, along with Peter Sellers. The initial credits introduce the Pink Panther cartoon character.
A bit dated by today's standards but still fun. And again the Mancini soundtrack is first rate and one of the best stand alone soundtrack albums ever released.
Movie Review: Bonus Features Not Listed Summary: 4 Stars
This Pink Panther single disc release includes the Trivia Subtitle Track and Blake Edwards' commentary track that are found on the 6-disc Collector's Edition boxed set disc, even though they're not listed on this package or in the item description. These bonus features are interesting and informative. (I have this single Pink Panther movie disc. My sister has the Collector's Edition boxed set. That's what I observed.)
Movie Review: The Pink Panther Summary: 4 Stars
A well known and previously enjoyed movie which has lost none of its charm and humor. Peter Sellers and david Niven as well as a young Robert Wagner all charm and delight!
Movie Review: Inspector Clouseau's Pale Shadow Summary: 3 Stars
This movie is cute and funny, especially in the scenes that feature Peter Sellers. The grave weakness of this movie, the first in this series, is that the emphasis is on the dashing and debonair jewel thief played by David Niven. There's nothing wrong with that, except the character was already a "stock" character and there's really nothing interesting about them either. Niven's acting was great and the leading ladies are lovely. Also, I had forgotten the great musical number in the middle.
But no one can spill milk or break a violin like Sellers. Inspector Clouseau lights the screen whenever he is on.
