Movie Reviews of The Parent Trap (1961) and The Parent Trap II (1986): 2-Movie Collection (2-Disc Set)

Movie Review: One of my wife's favorite movies!
Summary: 5 Stars

My wife loves this movie... and as always the original is much better than the remake.

Movie Review: Great Classic Movie
Summary: 5 Stars

I love these movies. Amazon is the Bomb!!! So much easier than shopping at a movie store.
As always, great service and fast shipping!

Movie Review: beware of shipping
Summary: 4 Stars

Beware of "free shipping" take it to mean super slow delivery. I ordered this dvd and it was in stock. Ordered 2/5 My order was not even filled until 2/11 and I did not rec. until 2/19. Free shipping is no longer worth using. I might as well go to brick and mortar store and buy this item. No cost savings and shipping is no longer convenient. Amazon holds your items hostage for a week before shipping.

Love-love love the Parent Trap

Movie Review: Excellent!
Summary: 5 Stars

The Parent Trap is an excellent and funny classic. It is great for the entire family both old and young.

Movie Review: Extra Fun for a fan of the original Parent Trap
Summary: 4 Stars

Parent Trap is such a classic there is really nothing I can say that hasn't been said already. So many great stars, such memorable roles (Leo G. Carroll steals every scene he appears in), and of course Hayley Mills. She is so refreshing and has such a natural appeal. That's really why this movie has remained a favorite all this years later.
Is Parent Trap II a great movie? No. But for those of us who fondly remember the original Parent Trap, so it's just fun to see this sequel with Hayley Mills some 25 years later. I remember it first appeared on the Disney Channel when our own daughter was about 10 years old, and she really liked it along with the sequels Parent Trap III and Parent Trap: Hawaiian Honeymoon that followed 2 or 3 years later. Those have never been released on DVD, which is a shame. Many kids in her generation would like to see them again.
