Movie Reviews of The OutsiderMovie Review: A sweet surprise. Summary: 5 Stars
There is something in nearly every scene that catches my attention, whether it's scenery, lighting, action or dialog. The story is a classic, the casting excellent & the setting breath-taking. Tim Daly shines as Johnny Gault, the dangerous gun-slinger with a troubled past who is taken in by an Amish widow--well-played by Naomi Watts--after being shot. This is a good film for fans of westerns & love stories, the chemistry between the main characters is great & the rest of the cast are good as well. This is one of my all-time favorites---I watched it nearly every day for @ least 2 weeks.
Movie Review: Good rainy day movie! Summary: 5 Stars
Not sure what the other reviewer really had against this movie, but it was worth watching. I thought the woman was a Plain Person but perhaps that was the prelude to the Amish or Mennonites(maybe I need to see it again to make sure). Anyway, we all have to reassess our value system at one time or another and I thought the main characters did that. If a viewer wants more blood, guts, and gore; then this movie won't appeal. If a viewer want honesty and a good romance, then this movie will appeal. Watch it on Hallmark channel first. Don't let a nay-say color judgement on this one.
Movie Review: What a Surprise to the Viewer Summary: 5 Stars
I have always thought that Tim Daly was one of the most underappreciated actors around today and this movie proved it to me. I just happen to catch it on Hallmark and it will certainly be my next purchase from Amazon. Rarely do you see such fine performances on the small screen, but everyone involved turned in a winner. The classic Angel and the Badman story with a twist. I actually heard "the music" when he was praying for God to take him instead of her. Well worth anyones two hours, just for the scenery and the scene with Mr. Daly and the baby sheep.
Movie Review: Tim Daly's Best Work Yet Summary: 5 Stars
Very intense story about a plain widow women (Naomi Watts) and her young boy living in a religious community who takes pity on a wounded gun slinger (Tim Daly). She nurses him back to health only to fall in forbidden love with him and he with her. However, he knows he could never have her. Meanwhile, the men who killed her husband are after her land. Conflict between violence and forbidden love tears her family apart and she must make a decision that could cost her her life. This is a good, good story, one I've watched over and over again.
Movie Review: The Outsider Summary: 5 Stars
I loved this movie about a gunfighter and an Amish woman and her son. The lead characters are as opposite as can be, but true love begins regardless of adversity. One outstanding message is that you can totally change your life. Gunfighter Johnny Gault did just that all for the love of a good woman. I love this movie, The Outsiderhave seen it numerous times and believe it is well worth the cost.
