This comedy is a classic. It is not only the plot which is based on a play by Neil Simon but the cast makes this film a comedy that you will have a hard time to stop laughing.
The plot is well known- a divorced man moves in with his bachelor friend and they became roomates from hell.
As I said you will laugh and laugh a lot. Jack Lemon and Walter Matthau make a perfect duet and complement each other. Buy it.

I saw this movie about two weeks ago on AMC. It was funny and made me really laugh. I'm a 16 year old who likes classic and ORIGINAL films, not today's CGI filled/no talent actors/rap star cameo-esque films. Anyway, I really liked Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau after seeing this movie. Of course, I always liked Matthau, because I've seen him in a couple of movies with Gregory Peck (also on AMC). I love this DVD of the Odd Couple. Matthau and Lemmon were the PERFECT combination for a hilarious and unforgettable relationship. They set the bar and others came close, but were not quite able to clear the mark that had been set for them. They were indeed unmatchable in this and other memorable relationship combinations. Worth multiple viewings, the Simon dialogue is crackling and at streches comedic brillance. Matthau and Lemon agitate each other to comic perfection. An ever slow slightly slow start and unnecessarily drawn out ending take just a bit away from this classic. Fortunately you can flip the DVD to the chapters of the story you like best for reviewings of classic antics. Priceless.
