If you are Catholic or just curious and ever wondered what kind of ceremony did nuns go through to become nuns, this is the movie for you.
It is accurate and an interesting study of missonaries and why women enter the convent. It details their human struggles and the sacrifices they made. Audrey Hepburn was great....a vintage or cult piece.

Audrey, without Givenchy, and only a portion of her face visible, few lines and much conflict gives one of the great performances. The depth of the movie, the richness, amount to a great piece of art. I discovered this movie years ago and have watched it every time I could find it on TV. I was delighted when it came out on the DVD format. For Audrey Hepburn fans this is a must have. I found this movie to be very good esp. for being made in the 50's.
If you like movies on a person's life this is one to watch. I only hope you are not disappointed as I was not to fine out what she does afterwards.
I look up to her to keep following her dreams no matter the cost.

One of my childhood favorites has lost nothing over the decades since its original release. I saw it more than once then and plan to do so now. Great acting and an incredibly gripping story. It's a winner and I'm delighted to have this high-quality DVD in my collection.
