Movie Review: Awesome!
Summary: 5 Stars
I watched this movie last night on ABC. I love The Wizard of Oz and the Muppets and thought this would be a good movie. I underestimated it. I loved this movie. It was filled with jokes that kept me rolling on the floor with laughter. My neighbors probably thought something was wrong with me. I liked how they kinda stook to the original movie, but added a few things in here and there to make it a true Muppets film. I look forward to the DVD release.Movie Review: muppets' wizard of oz

We all know the story...but the Muppet version had an interesting twist. I don't judge movies by how good the CGI and special effects are, so I'm not commenting on those. In typical Muppet fashion, the one-liners in the script were great! Both children and parents can sit side by side on the couch and watch the movie and get a good laugh--and my late teen-age daughter and I had many. My 5 year old son watched the VHS version so much that we wore it out and bought the DVD version. He loves the muppet movies and it is a movie I don't mind watching with him. The movie approperiatly targets children and throws some humor in for the adults as well. I would not have wanted it to cost so much, like so many other DVDs do. This seemed to be the right price.
The color was great and so rich and in excellent condition--no defects.
I loved all those deleted scenes which were included. They added something special that the original version lost.

The Muppets' Wizard of Oz was very cute and funny. The Muppets can turn anything into something very funny and entertaining. Like the Muppet Treasure Island, they can turn a classic into a very funny movie. With all the movies that the Muppets are in I would very highly recommend it to all families with children.
