Movie Review: The Wonderful Muppets' Wizard of Oz!!!
Summary: 5 Stars
I saw this movie at its big screen premiere at New York's Tribeca Film Festival. It's an outstanding production. The film is adapted from the Oz book and faithful to it in ways unlike the 1939 MGM film; however, certain liberties are taken with L. Frank Baum's material to accommodate the Muppet cast.
Overall, the story is true Oz and any Oz fan will indulge in it. And for those who adore the Muppets, this movie is loaded with the best of Muppet shtick. It's funny, clever, charming and fantastic family entertainment!

I was completely shocked at how entertaining this movie was when it first aired on tv! My son & I were laughing so much! This movie is the Wizard of Oz with a twist, the story was written well (which doesn't happen much anymore) and had great new Muppets characters. This is one movie I saw on tv and wouldn't allow anyone to change the channel even on the commercials- we really didn't want to miss a thing. I would highly recommend this dvd. Our family of four thought the movie was excellent. The only bad parts were the commercials and we can't wait for it to come out on DVD. My husband and I still laugh about the nipples line, that is just funny. "What do these do?" "Nothing, those our my nipples." I chuckle now. And for those who may be misled Rizzo said "witch slap." The running gag of Pepe being a King Prawn and not a shrimp is classic Muppet humor. This movie is perfect for the whole family. It's a complete movie for once. It has Ashant(II) who is very talented and brings a year 2000 twist on Dorothy and with her aunt and uncle, who would had ever thought but it works well. And one of the most impressive charaters TOTO the Shrimp (Prawn)was absolutely hilarious. I watched the movie with my Son (17) and Daughter (14) and we laughed so hard. I buy 4 family gifts every year for Christmas and with out a doubt this was the BEST!!!!!Movie Review: If you have a child that loves the Wizard of Oz or if you love the muppets...

Got this for our daughter for Christmas since she loves the Wizard of Oz. We got the 70th addition of the Wizard of Oz when it came out and she loves it...Got the blu ray...just in case the dvd gets worn out and then got this. Watching it now....A lot of guest stars are in this...You have Ashanti, Queen Latifa, David Allen Greer, Quentin Tarantino...Kermit as the scarecrow, Fozzy Bear as the Lion, Gonzo as the Tin Man and of course Miss Piggy as the Witch(s)....fun movie.
