Movie Reviews of The Mouse on the MoonMovie Review: Mouse that Soared Summary: 4 Stars
This is the sequel to the Mouse That Roared. Involving the Duchy of Grand Fenwick who once again is in need of cash. The U. S. is once again the answer. A million dolars goes a long way towards plumbing & the U. S. has a spare million for Fenwick's space program. You know the one that doesn't exist.
Peter Sellers, Margret Rutherford & Terry Thomas. Insanity!
This little country is the King of theft by deception but always succeeds at at a plan different from their plan. This is funnier than the 1st one & the 1st was funny. If outer space ever seemed a weird idea to you. Come along & find out why. 4 1/2 Stars.
Movie Review: The Mouse on the Moon (1963)-Really Funny! Summary: 4 Stars
The Mouse on the Moon (1963) was a four to five star British comedy I had never heard of until I very recently discovered it. It was totally British and hilarious and was the sequel to the Mouse that Roared. The very poor special effects only added to the comedy and I think they achieved exactly what they were looking for.
Movie Review: Not as Good as the Original Summary: 3 Stars
Fitfully funny satire about the space race but it is not as amusing as "The Mouse That Roared." Sorely lacking here is the presence of Peter Sellers. It's interesting to watch political satire of it's time but the space race does not have the resonance today that the arms race did.
