Movie Reviews of The Monster Squad (Two-Disc 20th Anniversary Edition)

Movie Review: When films were fun
Summary: 5 Stars

First off let me say that it took way too long for this fun family film to get to DVD. This is a film where the important thing was the MOVIE and they didn't worry about this ridiculous Political Correct stuff that has the current run of films sounding and looking just plain stupid. The Monster Squad is a film where the kids swear when confronted by a monster, just like they would in real life and the creatures of the night are both scary but have a sense of humanity. It features all of the great Universal Monsters and considering they couldn't get the rights from Universal, they did a great job in recreating them in such a way that they have a new look but somehow still instantly recognizable. For a great Halloween that many have termed "The Goonies meet Frankenstein" this is the movie to get, it's funny, scary but not too scary for younger kids and has enough action and humor to keep the adults entertained.U.S. Avengers

Movie Review: What a movie!

Movie Review: The Monster Squad
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie has it all, dracula, wolfman, mummy, frankenstien, and the gilman. It's not to scary. So you can sit and watch it with the kids.
Dracula does say one bad word in it, the "B" word, other than that, hey it is a good movie. I remember it from the 1980's, and couldn't find it until a logged onto amazon. I bought three copies. My nieces remember this movie from when it came on in 1987, they love it, and they now watch it with their kids.
