I know many of the reviews on this page are already writing about how awesome of a film Monster Squad is so I decided I would comment especially on not only how much I love this film but how much I enjoyed watching the featurette on the second disk titled: Monster Squad Forever!
This documentary featurette includes footage on set during filming, interviews with the cast including the ever-so-funny Tom Noonan (Frankenstein), Andre Gower (Sean Crenshaw), Ashley Banks (Phoebe Crenshaw), Fred Dekker (Director: "His other films include Night of the Creeps and Robocop 3"), and many others to be named. Also on the documentary, they mention how popular the film has become in the last couple of years and has been named a cult classic especially of fans of 1980 horror films from that decade and fans of Universal Monsters.
After watching this documentary, I have grown to love this movie even more than I did before. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this rare gem which pays homage to the original Universal Monsters! :D

I, as well as my children, have liked the monster squad since it came out. I have the VHS version, and when I found out that it was going to be coming out on DVD I had to purchase it. The movie is even better on DVD, and the extras are wonderful. The extras have the characters as they are now, talking about then. My recommendation: it is a great family movie, unbeatable at the price.Movie Review: monster squad

All I have to say is thank you to Lionsgate for releasing this funny scary wonderful film on horror monsters to DVD.
But this film is not for young kids though, it's for teens and adults. PG-13 For lauguage, Scary Horror Elements.
This Film is classic though. kick him in the nars, werewolves don't have nars (punch) wolfman got nars. a classic line makes me laugh each time i see it. Thanks fat kid RIP you were cool and nice. all the cast were great too.
Highly Recommended Spoof Film.
