Movie Review: King...what an appropriate name
Summary: 5 Stars
The creative and imaginative Stephen King has pulled it off again, and hats off to Frank Darabont (Directing and ending) and Bernie Wrightson (special fx), also. This was one of my favorite short stories I read years ago by King. The way they brought this to life with really good acting and directing, the special effects, the creepy atmosphere and the cinematography, is just captivating! This film is paced and balanced very well from beginning to end...and the twisted ending really tops it off nicely. This is an adventure worth five stars!Movie Review: Careful Nimwits!

It's almost like some of you people want to just give away the whole thing. STOP even hinting toward it, or giving opinions or "he should have waited..." I mean, if the original reviewers had kept their mouths shut when the film first came out, I would have been broadsided by this one, but they all had to babble on and on about the "shocking ending". Seriously- if someone who has not seen it went and read each one of these reviews, they could probably figure it out. Just zip it already!Movie Review: What a twist, what an ending.

Wow, Wow, and Wow...... This was something, as King always makes and writes good suspense movies and books. This one took us for a good thriller ride. There are good lessons to learn from this movie as well, I don't know what was in the mist and I don't want to give the movie away with talking about what I saw. You will have to view the movie yourself to see what it is all about. All I know is that you will enjoy the movie... get ready for some suspense and screams.... Even Stephen King said the ending was better than his ending in his original story. The movie is about 98% accurate to my mental images while reading the original Stephen King story, which is amazing. The original story and this movie are extremely scary without gratuitous violence = this could actually happen - you don't have to suspend disbelief to be scared, very very scared. Brillantly made film - glad the director refused to change the ending - it really is a shocker and you really feel it.
The effects work well, the lady playing the religious woman plays the part to perfection - never doing anything just telling and the people around react to it...
Worth watching time after time to see the parts you missed.
