Great cinderella sports movie. Would have received more theater play in US if we were bigger soccer fans, but what a tribute to the boys from St. Louis who put the US on the soccer world map. Gerry Butler's soccer moves are luscious...naturally. The audience really gets to share the effort, the puling one's self up from one's own bootstraps in this film.Movie Review: AWESOME and INSPIRATIONAL

This is an amazing and very moving film - sadly it got very little on screen theatre time! And it took me MONTHS to find it on dvd - and Im extremely glad to have it in my collection! This is a really interesting, little known true story. The acting is great, and the story is uplifting. It's a shame that the film was only released in theaters in limited markets. I very much enjoyed this film. The actors do a great job portraying real people who struggled to achieve their fondest hopes and dreams. Gerard Butler is a pleasure to watch! This is a film that is wonderfully acted, beautifully written. It is a true story about a team of misfits who come together and won against overwhelming odds. It is a good story, you will enjoy it IF you are like me and root for the underdogs of the world. Worth the price.
