Movie Reviews of The McCartney Years

Movie Review: MACCA the great!
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm a huge Paul McCartney fan. This collection is simply amazing. The only negative thing I can say it: The 1976 ROCKSHOW concert film should have been included it it's whole. To only witness 5 songs from that tour is a sin. I'm sure PAUL will release the full version of ROCKSHOW in the future. Marketing 101!
The extra's are the real treats.....the live footage from his current band (which IMHO is his best solo band ever!!), the old videos, old WINGS material, and so much more that I haven't even viewed. You can tell this was a labour of love!
I would recommend this to any true MACCA fan!
Sit back & enjoy!

Movie Review: The McCartney Years
Summary: 5 Stars

This is filled with wonderful Mccartney & Wings Video together on 3 DVD's . The Music brings you back to the days of peace & love. Also seeing paul's wife Linda in these vidoes . Them both made a great tream as musical & husband & wife . The Videos are here are classic very good stuff ,some sadness with seeing linda in these videos,up beat, good rock music. Just all the best in an Mccartney Wonderland of fun stuff. If your a wing fan or Mccartney this is for you. So, go out & buy this cool DVD set. You will not go wrong with this music of Paul Mccartney's Years thought & so on........

Love, Maria :)

Movie Review: The Mccartney Years
Summary: 5 Stars

"The McCartney Years" is a wonderful and enjoyable video collection of Paul McCartney's music. It's better than opening the old Beatle albums and finding photos and booklets of the fab four to enjoy. The videos are excelent and fun to reminisce with and enjoy. Paul's commentaries on his work are interesting to hear and give you little insights into his musical genius. You actually get to watch him and hear his words as he talks about his music. I couldn't wait to get my hands on "The McCartney Years" and I wasn't disappointed. "The McCartney Years" is an excellent treasure to own! It is worth every penny spent!

Movie Review: I'll gladly accept it as it is.
Summary: 5 Stars

Overall, I am pleased with this set. It's a shame some clips weren't in better quality. Audio was first rate. Don't be so fussy about the widescreen. So you missed a bit of Denny's head on "Helen Wheels", big deal.
Finally finished watching the "live" portion of this set. To me, "Glastonbury" was his greatest set, ever! My jaw dropped watching it and I've seen alot of Macca shows since 76. Macca gave it his all at that show.
On another note, Glastonbury" is the way every live Macca DVD should have been filmed. Mostly showing what is on stage with just a few showing the audience.

Movie Review: Permission from others invovled?
Summary: 5 Stars

Perhaps in the case of Kampuchea and full Wings shows, it is a case of having to get or not being able to get all parties involved with those shows to give permission for him to put out a whole. Perhaps other artists in Kampuchea are holdouts, or the company that put concert on is planning a DVD release of the whole concert themselves.
Past Wings members may not have given ok or ahven't been able to negotiate for a mutual acceptable royalty deal with Rhino/MPL.
I am looking forward to this DVD, as I look forward with anxiousness of any Paul or J, R and G releases.
