Movie Review: I GUESS WE JUST CAN'T AGREE

My personal favorites from this set are THE BIG STORE and A NIGHT IN CASABLANCA. I know I'll catch hell for not choosing OPERA and RACES but these films though huge box office monsters, did not capture the reason why the MARX BROTHERS were so remarkable to begin with.I strongly believe my choices are closer to classic Marx. But any true Marxist will tell you the masterpieces are ANIMAL CRACKERS,MONKEY BUSINESS,HORSE FEATHERS,and of coarse DUCK SOUP.I've got mixed feelings on THE COCOANUTS.Great comedy,but too many lame song and dance routines.If you know The Marx Brothers like I do and have a taste for ballbusting,unforgiving,take no prisoners,actually make you laugh movies then my 6 choices would truly be the definitive MARX collection.Oh! what the heck! Throw in The Cocoanuts and make it a lucky 7.I'm not letting anyone off the hook that easy. I want really good bonus features on each disc.Outakes,bloopers,interviews,commentary tracks and anything else that would be fun to have.Keep the discs one sided the movies are short enough.I know these movies stand on their own merit but these dvds are already released with no bonus features and thats the reason I find no reason to purchase them.Besides my VCR gets lonely for attention. 5 stars for The Marx Brothers and 5 stars for my idea but only 2 stars for this set.HELLO... I MUST BE GOING. I have returned! I bought this set based on two sensible reviews CRY ME A RIVER and UNIVERSAL WILL RELEASE THE FIRST FIVE.The transfers look fine to me.Some bonus features I enjoy.Some I don't.The Our Gang shorts are childish and embarrassing nothng like their edgy classics with Jackie Cooper or Spanky in his toddler years.My preference for the shorts in this set is 'So you think you're a nervous wreck'.This is a great chance to finally see the voice of George Jetson.I have one technical complaint.The subtitles will not appear during bonus features even though it's allowed to be selected.And they disappear during the musical numbers of the actual movies.I hope universal releases the first five the same way as they did the monster legacy.Four busts;Groucho,Chico,Harpo,and yes Zeppo.It's okay if they're a little smaller than the monsters.ONE DISC PER FILM with extras on each, please...in individual covers in thinner versions of the booklike covers used in the legacy set.I upgraded this fom 2 stars to 3 because of presentation.I realize that some fans are disappointed with this set while others are in they're glory, or maybe you're just like me.You have the set, some fliks you like some you don't.AND YOU'RE HOPING THAT UNIVERSAL RELEASES THE FIRST FIVE,Just as I described. I see a pontential 5 star rating in the future.Don't you?
