Movie Review: One of Leo's best works
Summary: 5 Stars
"The man in the Iron Mask" is truly one of the best movies of 1998. Maybe one of the best movies of all. Leonardo Dicaprio is the twin brother of the king. He was locked up in a dungeon wearing a steel mask. He then gets escaped by the three musketeers. They make a plan to make him king and kill or replace his brother in his place. The movie has great acting and some funny moments. All in all- this is a great movie.Movie Review: Really fine movie

I bought this movie only recently and really liked it.I thought EVERYONE was utterly convincing and excellent especially Leo who plays both evil and innocent equally well.
However does anybody note here that something is brought in that was in no other version and not the book : Dartagnan is the father of the king and his brother?
Hmmmm.
But EXCELLENT FILM and I recomment it.

I can't explain it (I'm not a tween-aged girl) but I truly, deeply love this film, especially the last half hour. It's not a great film, it's not even a pretty good film, as a film critic would evaluate it, but there's just something about it. Most of the cast is really good; even Leonardo isn't all that bad. I've never read the book, so I came clean to the movie. The action sequences are good, the explanations as to what motivates the Musketeers are reasonable, and the performances are, for the most part, excellent. There is very little to complain about for this movie.
Plus, we get to see Leonardo play two roles! :)

hey, leonardo! although you may not be the first pick off-screen, in this film you capture two characters-twin brothers-magically, one defiant and cruel, one gentle and caring. love, suicide, murder, and action all rolled into one-not to mention it doesn't stick to the book too closely, making it suprising for everyone. a real tear-jerking adventure.
