Movie Review: The Lost Boys (1987)
Summary: 5 Stars

First thoughts...:0 My god. This movie is amazing! Definately in my Top 10. Even if it's from 1987, it's hand's down the best vampire movie ever made. Here's the breakdown.

1. Directing--The directing is amazing from Joel Schumacher (St. Elmo's Fire). He has real talent behind the camera.
2. Script--Very good writing. It's funny and scary at the same time. It also has some of the best movie characters ever.
3. Acting--The acting is top-notch. You got an all-star cast including my favorite actor Kiefer Sutherland. You also have Jason Patric, the late Corey Haim, Corey Feldman, and Jami Gertz. Excellent acting from the entire cast.

Now for the content review.
Rated R

1. Sex/Nudity=2/10. There is a sex scene in the movie, but there is no nudity.
2. Violence/Gore=9/10. This movie is pretty violent. There is a lot of blood when the vampires are killed. The is one part when a vampire's body explodes, and it is pretty graphic.
3. Language=4/10. There is not a lot of language. A couple S-words and other profanities. No F-words.

Final thoughts...Overall 5/5. It is very, very good. It's in my Top 10 favorite movies of all time. It is also, in my opinion, the best vampire movie ever made. Highly recommended to fans of horror and vampires.
