HAY EVERBYODY MY NAME IS JOSHUA I AM 8 YEARS OLD AND I SAW THIS MOVEE AND I WANT TO SAY THAT IT IS VERY SCARY BECOSE OF THE WAY THE BLACK MONSTERS LOOKED WITH THEIR SCARY RED EYES AND SHARP TEETH AND IT GAVE ME NIGHTMARES ESPECALLY THE PART WHERE GANDALF KILLS A BLACK MONSTER AND BLOOD GUSHES OUT AND HE STARTS SCREAMING AND THAT PART MADE ME CRY AND GAVE ME NIGHTMARES OK BYE BYE PEACE OUT HOMEESMovie Review: very good (an opinion from Mexico)

After years(this version of the Tolkien novel is from 1978), this film is now on DVD (with subtitles in español, francais, portugués, mandarin, thai, korean and japanese!). Thanks god this is a widescreen version (the horrible VHS version was pan & scan). Critics dont like very much this version of a classic, but the Ralph Bakshi animation is great (his best film until now).Movie Review: KES Evenstar

The hero, Frodo Baggins, is told by the wizard Gandalf that his ring has the power to conquer the world. Frodo and the fellowship sent to protect him must journey across Middle-Earth to the villian's (Sauran) land to destroy the ring. The fellowship faced many foes and suffered many hardships and occasionly met a friend. As the power of the ring grows, war was unleashed upon the heroes.Movie Review: Only for fans

For English speakers: if you are not a fan of The Lord of the rings this movie won't fill your expectations. You sure have to know the story. But if your are this movie is a dream comes true.

Movie Review: A terrific rendition for the time

Recently, I bought this DVD to satisfy my curiosity. I have seen the flick out currently and want ed to judge versions. I really liked this one. It is faithful to the trilogy and combines the first 2 volumes into one. The live animation adds a surreal qquality to it. It is not for kids alone.
I recommend buying it.
