Movie Reviews of The Lone Gunmen - The Complete Series

Movie Review: An under-rated Series
Summary: 5 Stars

From the first time The Lone Gunmen appeared in The X-Files, I enjoyed them. I thought they should have their own series long before Chris Carter did. However, the series had a couple flaws- introducing a benefactor that was not seen in The X-Files, and trying too hard to be serious. Still it was a great series, with alot of the humour and adventure that I enjoyed about The Lone Gunmen. I just wish that Fox could have kept the series going, so that a fan base could be established (it took The X-Files a couple years to get going, after all).
This series is worth a look for any X-files fan, particularly if you like the episodes with The Lone Gunmen.

Movie Review: Too bad it didn't continue
Summary: 5 Stars

This is definetly one of the best series I have ever seen. The themes are quite intelligent, and intersting. It presents some of the ethics that are missing from most other series, while still being a lot of fun. It definetly rates as number one for a series that the whole family can view together.

Movie Review: Excellent Show
Summary: 5 Stars

When this show was first on, I missed most of the episodes because of work, so after buying the dvd, it's the first time I've seen many of these episodes. I can't believe it was cancelled. During the special features, the creators indicated that the ratings were good. Network executives are just afraid of intelligent programs I guess.
Anyway, the packaging is great, it's very compact, has neat artwork, and double-sided dvd's are a rare treat. My favorite episodes are "Pilot," "Madam I'm Adam," "The Lying Game," and "All About Yves." It's great that they did crossovers, but didn't get carried away with it, just Skinner in "The Lying Game," Fletcher and Mulder (uncredited) in "All About Yves." Jimmy and Yves were well-casted and are well-acted. It's also great that they include The X Files episode "Jump the Shark." And they decided that the unaired episode, "The Cap'n Toby Show," happened immediately before "All About Yves."
My only complaint is that the episodes that were supposed to be on side A of disc 2 were on side B and vice versa. The only thing that could have been included is if a resolution episode for "All About Yves" was filmed and included especially for this dvd set. After all, that episode ended with, "to be continued."

Movie Review: A Great Short-Lived Series
Summary: 5 Stars

I loved these guys. They had the conspiracy feel to it as well as their unique humor. I was SOOOOO angry that they were killed off towards the end of the X-File series. No excuse for that whatsoever.
