Movie Review: Yikes.

Wow, I must say that this movie has no redeeming qualities. First off,every actor is in desperate need of acting lessons, or, in lieu of acting lessons, a punch in the throat. Yes, the acting was that bad. The opening montage sets the pace for the rest of the movie, assuming you consider "Hey look, we're in a city, why are my ears assaulted by the screaming of demons?" to be a pace. This movie was horrible, and Disney has disappointed before, but this is one of their absolute worst.Movie Review: Wonderful, just wonderful

The Lizzie McGure Movie theme was really lovely and touching. I watched it several times and honestly everytime I watch it, I love it more and more and miss watching it again. It just lifts up your spirit. The movie is a bit different than those other intense movies we watch nowadays.. The producing and directing is well-done to the extent that makes you live the storyline. Needless to mention my most favorite soundtrack "Have you Ever Seen.." by Hilary being well-played in this movie while Lizzie sings it on stage. It's really worth watching and I highly recommend it to everyone and not only teenagers. ;)Movie Review: great movie

As a big fan of Hilary Duff,and a moderator of hilaryfan.com,I just purchased this from Amazon having seen this before i loved it,Hilary as Lizzie has always been my favorite role.the movie was so much fun to watch even over and over any fan of Hilary Duff will love this DVD,i even saw her in concert last July and she was amazing,i miss her doing this role but look forward to seeing her future movies.a must own for fans of the series.Movie Review: very good

This movie is based on the hit tv show Lizzie Mcguire. I am really glad that they did a movie cos i have always loved the tv show. This movie is great for the whole family and once your watch it you will want to see it over and over again. If I watched this film never having seen the TV show that it spun off of, I would have enjoyed it more, I think. I went in with extremely high expectations, since Lizzie McGuire is probably my all-time favorite show. It does a wonderful job of exploring the life of a teenage girl, especially in her relationships with her friends, her brother, and her parents. Part of the charm of the show is that it features people who seem very real in situations that are sometimes a little far-fetched, but generally resonate somehow with normal real life experiences.
The movie loses some of that by putting Lizzie and Co. in places and situations that are really quite implausible. The script also lacks much of the show's wit and intelligence, and the show's most interesting relationships (Lizzie and her mom, Lizzie and Matt, Lizzie and Gordo...) take a back seat to the developing romance between Lizzie and Paolo. For a show with SUCH a strong supporting cast, it's a shame to have many of them relegated to such minor roles. Also, the animated Lizzie who provides such penetrating insights into Lizzie's brain in the TV series is included almost as an afterthought, and her input is often extraneous.
All that being said, it is certainly a cute movie, with a great soundtrack, and a delightful star. It is fun and pleasant for all ages, and worth owning. But it's a different genre than the TV show.
