Movie Reviews of The Little Bear MovieMovie Review: Great for father and son viewing Summary: 5 StarsNobody does it better than Little Bear for gentle, nice, family friendly viewing. LB has the greatest backgound music with the piano & violin section. This movie in particular has beautiful art work. I sure am glad there are shows like this for my 2 & 3 yr old sons.
Movie Review: continuing classic, very well done...impressed. Summary: 5 Starsi was not sure how this movie would be; assuming that it would be all "disney-ed" up (even though not done by disney) or just plain poorly done, but it was just as good as the little bear television series. i have a 2 1/2 yr old daughter who is VERY sensitive and this was not scary for her at all; i dont agree with the other writer that it was too scary. it was very well put together; tastefully done. it stayed in step with the television series with its beautiful music, and very nicely done was the one song sung by shaun colwin(not sure if i got the name right) but it was a very good, appropriate song; not mushy or dramatic; just very simple and quiet. all of the character voices were the same, as were their personalities and i was very pleased with it. There was a mountain lion in the movie and it was "understood" that he meant danger and that he was trouble but it never showed any fighting, attacking or anything of the sort. The story line was a very simple one with a very simple lesson taught. The only main character missing was Emily but it was so well done she wasnt missed. We rented it from the library but after being so impressed with it we will be buying it from Amazon. Very appropriate and a must have staple in your video collection. In my final opinion; puts those disney films, which have these bogus one liners that they cram into advertising and your children's minds, to shame.
Movie Review: Wonderful Movie Summary: 5 StarsMy 2 1/2 year old just loves this movie. She wants to watch it several times a day!
Movie Review: A more intense Little Bear story Summary: 3 StarsWe were a little disappointed because the writter has succombed to current Hollywood trends and made this movie a little scary. I recall the episodes of Little Bear used to always be so kind and gentle. But this movie is a little different. The movie has a mountain lion that whats to eat little bear and his friends. The lion is a little scary. It also has a sad plot with "Cub" being orphaned during a storm. All ends well, but not the usual gentleness of Little Bear stories. A sensitive toddler could get bad dreams. Keep in mind this review is relative to other Little Bear episodes; the movie is certainly not scary when compared to Disney movies or regular TV.
Movie Review: great Summary: 5 StarsIf your little one likes any Little Bear show then this is a must as it is over an hour long feature. So soothing and calm compared to other cartoons. I wish they would have produced more movies.
