Movie Review: Sorry... don't waste your money!

I was looking for some good exercise videos to help me get into physical shape again. I'm over 50 and overweight. After trying a number of things, I recommend Galad's beginning aerobic DVD and "Big Butts" exercise video for out-of-shape overweight beginners like me. These are great for people in my condition! I've lost 20+ pounds in less than 3 months, just by doing Big Butts and Galad, and eating a healthy low-fat high-plant diet. Of all the things I've tried, this Laughing Dragon DVD was the least helpful. It did nothing for me and wasted my time and money. I did do it quite a few times, to give it a chance, and thinking maybe I am missing something! The guy leading it is strange to watch and listen to. The workout wasn't at all what I expected. He has little humor, and his eyes don't seem to look at you. The movements are very odd and gave me no benefits. I am sorry to give a bad review, but this DVD isn't for everyone! In fact, it would be only for a small specialized group of people who want to do something kind of like Tai Chi but not quite. I'm really not sure who would like this DVD! As for me, I just want plain, good exercises for gaining fitness and health, nothing fancy or esoteric or weird. This DVD was just too strange for me! And too much nothingness to the exercises.

Zookinesis is an ancient exercise system from China combining Tai-chi and Chinese Yoga. It is considered to be a form of Chi-gung. They are called "Age Reversal Exercises" because they reverse the symptoms of aging and bring youthful vitality back to seniors. This program is the beginning level of standing exercises for seniors. It improves balance, mobility and strength of the joints and general muscle tone. It also improves breathing, flexibility and concentration. These exercises can be done standing free or holding onto a chair. A separate section gives detailed instructions for each movement. the exercise session itself is 20 minutes long.
