Movie Review: Well-crafted and disturbing movie...

The Last House on the Left was not quite what I would classify as a horror movie, but it is quite interesting, nonetheless. There are a few graphically violent scenes, but they were comically balanced out by a pair of inept policemen tracking the attackers.The dialogue is fairly realistic, and Sandra Cassel and Lucy Grantham play a pair of engaging best friends on their way to a concert by their favorite band, Bloodlust. When they try to buy some marijuana from a guy on the street, they end up in a nightmare that ultimately leads back to the house of one of the girls.
The scariest part of the movie is the simple fact that what goes on in this movie (the girls being attacked moreso than the revenge) could so easily happen in real life. This movie is not for anyone bothered by torture or brutality.
