Movie Review: Beautiful
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great movie. There's not much I can add that hasn't been said already. As for the Blu-ray transfer, I can honestly say I'm a satisfied customer. Yes, some scenes look a bit grainy as it was filmed in 1987, but nothing that prevented me from fully enjoying the movie. Many of the blurry scenes I think were intended that way and were filmed with a very narrow depth of field, but the parts that are actually in focus, look absolutely brilliant and detailed. Just don't expect it to look as if it had been made in the 21st century with digital cameras, because it was not. I'm not an expert in digital transfer and have no idea what techniques were used to create this BD but for my money, I have no idea what some peole here are complaining about. Like I said, I'm no expert, but I consider myself to have a good eye for this sort of thing. I've seen some crappy BDs this is most definetly NOT one of them. And aspect ratio doesn't bother me that much either. If this is the way the cinemtographer and the director intended this film to be seen, well, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. In summary I'm very happy with my purchase.
