Movie Review: I liked this period paranormal thriller

I never heard about this movie until I read another reviewer about another movie (Jessica - A Ghost Story, which by the way is really bad) so here I am. I now own the movie because I love it!!! This movie is great!! There is a reference in the begining of the movie that this is a low budget movie and it had it's trouble in making it. It totally entertains and keeps the view in suspense through out until the end. It was made in 1988 so the special effects are of that era, but none of the less it is a great movie!!! I recommend this movie to anyone that likes a period paranormal thriller.Movie Review: OK, this was a tough film to watch...

This film is about a boy who, after being locked into the school house, witnesses a ghost being murdered. After that he is attacked and almost killed. Racism and the feel of the period, with the cars and form of dress, gave the movie a real feel of reality. Things become weird and, yes, a tad scary. A audio commentary by the director plus behind the scene footage and deleted scenes add to the extras and make the DVD worth buying and adding to one's collection.
Not for young kids.

This movie is one of my very favorites from my childhood. I was afraid it might not be as good almost twenty years later, but had to take the risk and buy it and cross my fingers hoping it wouldn't seem outdated and not as thrilling as I remembered it. It was just exactly as I remembered and not in anyway a letdown after all these years. This is an absoulute classic movie that will never get old, cheesy and outdated like so many do. A must for any dvd collector.Movie Review: "Did you ever see a dream walking....."

That beautiful Bing Crosby tune now sort of gives me the creeps after seeing this groovy film. The movie isn't scary but it's an excellent film to watch on Halloween.
The Lady in White is suspenseful and it has some very funny moments. The grandfather is a RIOT!!!!
Sure the special F/X are cheesy but hey this movie was made in the 80's so WHO CARES!!?! It's still a film you can watch with your whole family.

Lady in White was filmed in my home town, I had a VHS tape of the movie, but wore it out. I have been looking for a copy of the original version on DVD and was directed to Amazon.com by a friend. I have but one word to describe the product,price,availability,and how quickly it was received. "AWESOME".
