Movie Review: AGELESS

Of all of the movies that are available today, The King of Masks is one that is ageless. Everyone from 5 years of age to 105 years old will enjoy this story. Though the time line is in the 1930s in China, the story portrays all of life's give and take. The actors and actresses are outstanding. It will remind you to look at your own life and who you really are. You will be challenged to consider your life's influences from others and from you to others. I am an avid reader and I must say this movie is well written and casted. I have to see this movie at least once a month, it is that good!Movie Review: A Beautiful Story

"The King of Masks" is a beautiful, simple story between an old man and a little girl in 1930s' China. It has excellent picture framings and poetic background audio. The only negative about this movie is that the DVD is presented in a Pan & Scan format. I hope someday it will be re-released in its origiginal theatrical released format. If you love any movie at all you will love this movie- a Classic, a Masterpiece, a Must-see. You do not need to understand Chinese Mandrin (subtiteld in English, French, Spainsh) to appreciate "The King of Masks".Movie Review: Wow!! great Drma

The King of Masks is an old man, the last in a great line of performers. He wants to rest, he wants a lot of money more importantly he wants an heir someome who can carry on his work after he buys a young boy named Doggie(yeah you can tell this is a Chinese film). Doggie is hiding something from the King of Masks and the implications of that secret will send the King to jail, and Doggie racing off to find help. To survie the King must sacrifice his prejiduces and the end result is quite touching.
Overall-This is a real find, I love this movie!

I just happened to catch the beginning of this movie on the Starz network this morning. I hadn't planned on watching it, but I got hooked and fast. This movie had me and would not let go until it finished. This is the best film I've seen in some time and was a refreshing change from the garbage that's out there nowadays (Hostel, Saw and the like) I can't say enough good about this film. Truly beautiful. It will have you in tears and if it does not, then you've been too damn desensitized by the garbage they're stuffing into theaters.Movie Review: great movie and incredible art

This is a very moving story. but the reason I watched this movie is to see the art of changing masks. What this film shown is only a tip of the iceberg. The true master, who are rapidly becoming endanger species, can not only changing masks but also clothes in an instant. And they can changes masks simple by turning their head sideway without having to raise their hands like the old man did in the movie. I guess I digressed...Anyway good movie, everyone who who appreciate a story with substance should see.
