Excellent movie on a book by Louisa May Alcott, author of Little Women. The book was her first book written when she was only about 17 years old. We taped this when it first came out on TV. It has been one of our favorites. Glad we could replace it with a DVD.
Great cast, great costumes, and the "nice girl" gets the handsome young man.
Favorite part is when James Percy teaches Edith to dance.

This was a lovely period piece which reminded me of plays by Jane Austen, but this one takes place in America. I enjoyed it immensely and look forward to seeing it many more times. The relationship between the various characters was interesting to see played out.Movie Review: Great movie!

I really enjoyed watching this movie. It is very romantic so those who believe in love at first sight will enjoy it and those who don't will like this fairy tale movie as well. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful. In a few words, the movie is a real keeper!
