Movie Review: Good Romance

I really enjoyed this movie. It is about a young woman who is a companion for a the young daughter of a wealthy family. The family does not come out and say they are Christians but in their actions they show Christian attributes. The young woman is treated as one of the family and through some twists and turns is well rewarded in the end for her moral standing. You will enjoy this movie. The acting is top notch and the plot is not boring at all. There is a surprise ending that was not predictable. I'm not highly educated in literature, but I know what I like. What I like is a good story, well told. And this is a fine example.
All the film aspects are excellent. The story may be a bit simplistic, but since when does everything have to be terribly complicated? Good vs Evil is obvious, but the acting is well done so that it does not appear trite. My girls got a lesson on 19th century social mores as well as a lesson on personal integrity. And I got a happy ending! Truly enjoyable.

I love this movie. I recorded it first off the tv as a special when it aired, and made a copy for my mom and sisters. I had to have it on DVD. This movie is very clean, entertaining, and it has beautiful costumes, music, and great actors. All the charecters are very enderaing, and if you love to fall in love with male romantic leads, this ones for you! I was so pleased to find this movie on Amazon.com. I had watched it as a child and pinned over it when I could not find it in stores over the years. This is such a pure love story, with the main characters completely selfless and yet charmingly real. There are too few unpretentious, untampered romantic movies around these days. Most reveal too much- literally. But this one leaves you truly satisfied while lending pleasant modesty to a normally scandalous genre.Movie Review: Marvelous!

This is a marvelous movie for those who love period pieces and are romantics at heart. There are obstacles to overcome. The heroine of the story is an upright, moral, sweet lady who thinks of others above herself. There was nothing in the movie to make you come away with an icky feeling (no sex scenes, violence, or foul language that I recall). It is an all-around feel-good kind of movie. I loved it!
