Movie Reviews of The Hunted

Movie Review: Many faces of ninja, mostly white
Summary: 2 Stars

I agree with the guys who gave this movie one or 2 stars.

Its a decent movie, but its just one thing that makes me sick to my damn stomach; and thats christopher lambert. For one his terrible acting in this movie and the fact that he played Raiden in the Mortal Kombat movies. WTF, is what I have to say.

Why does hollywood have to use a white man to always be the hero in most movies dedicated to asian or martial arts movies.
I mean come on, Christopher Lambert, with his stupid scratchy voice. If your gonna use a american\white actor, at least use Micheal Dudikof (ok, im joking about that one). But seriously, there are so many movies about ninjas that use a white actor to be the main guy who becomes ninja; i.e. American ninja parts 1-2-3-4etc, hunted, Batman Begins, and whose the guy who played in "blind Fury". haha, what was that about? I bet when the japanese watch our movies they laugh and then puke in disgust. I do.

But there is one good movie out there that does incorporate a white man in a japananese sword figting genre, and thats "the Last Samurai." At least they had a good reason why capt. Algren (played by Tom Cruise) joined and became a Samurai. He was already a soldier in the American army, so he knew about battle strategies, he hated his commander and the way the North was going about killing innocent women and children. And he trained as a Samurai for about 9 months to a year I think in the movie; unlike lambert who trained for 3 days trying to cut a apple in half.
I used to be in the army as an infantry man, and if it were me back in those days, Id be a samurai in a heart beat if I could.
only if we were still fighting samurais, I mean those warriors had class, not like these damn terrorist's were fighting today.

So I give this movie 2 stars, one: because it one of the most recent serious ninja movies, and two: because Takeda is one bad ass mother f****r. The rest just sucks.
