Movie Reviews of The Hunger

Movie Review: Sensual Feast Not to be Missed
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie evokes sensuality, not just from the sexual scenes, in fact those are incidental to the haunting music, the flapping of dove's wings in the attic, the crumbling of aged bodies - all this behind the veil of the music. Then there is the poinancy of the lifestyle the characters are seduced into and the inevitability of that lifestyle. This is my favorite vampire movie of all time and on my top 10 movies of all time. Once you have seen the movie, you will understand my review.

Movie Review: The Hunger
Summary: 5 Stars

I received this item very quickly - with no problems. I have discovered from the person I gave it to - that it was a different version than what was seen on TV - but the opposite of what you would think - on TV more was included than on this dvd - which really surprised me. If there are different versions out there, I was not aware, since I was searching for this movie to give to someone who really liked it. But this person was still very surprised and liked the gift.

Movie Review: Wonderful genre film!
Summary: 5 Stars

This highly stylized film really stands apart from the rest in the vampire genre. Most notably, the acting talents of Deneuve and Sarandon are fantastic. Denueve and Bowie play timeless lovers/vampires until Bowie's (after)life is drawing to a close. Sarandon is the scientist that has made gains in the anti-aging process and soon to be Denueve's new lover.

You really have to see this film to appreciate it. Great offering from Bauhaus in the opening, too.

Movie Review: One of my all-time favorites...
Summary: 5 Stars

But then I'm kind of a weirdie.

If you like vampires, sublime actors, stories of love, betrayal and eventual triumph and/or the idea of two incredibly lovely women having one of the most sensual love/sex scenes in cinema history, this is YOUR movie.

Plus the soundtrack is so fabulous, it stands alone... Bauhaus' Bella Lugosi's Dead (Live!), Delibes' Lakme, and Schubert's Trio in E Flat all in one movie? Oh yes indeed.

Movie Review: the hunger
Summary: 5 Stars

only one of the sexiest movies ever made. please, for your own good-watch this. lovely scenery and staging, delightful lighting and camerawork, and vampires. okay, this is not your run-o-the mill blood sucking adventure, it has poise and grace like none other, and a plot. you'll love it. seriously.dreamy-goodness.
i have reason to believe that the three stars are real vampires... have you seen them lately? they still look beautiful.
