Movie Reviews of The HungerMovie Review: Finally Summary: 5 Stars
I have not actually watched the DVD yet but I have the widescreen VHS tape, and have been waiting for a long time for the DVD....this has been a favorite of mine for many years. This review is for those who have seen the movie and already know they like it...I was very pleased to finally see it in widescreen again, after watching the 'pan and scan' version from TV or VHS for so long. I was amazed at how much the widescreen version opened up the scenes, showed more of the interiors, etc...and how butchered the edited for TV version really is. If you like this movie, widescreen is a must! I am looking forward to the commentary.
Movie Review: Horror, mystery and a good doses of weird eroticism! Summary: 5 Stars
This film must be scrutinized in the light of being Tony Scott a famed and renowned director of spot lights and subtle commercials at that moment. Additionally the figure of the vampire is refreshed and renovated with the presence of the feminine vision. Sarandon and Deneuve are in very good shape and Bowie gives another of his outrageous and perverse performances; after his standout performance in "The man who fell to earth" and "Furyo."
So think about all those factors at the moment you bet for watch it. It's extremely important. To my mind, this is one of the hottest cult movies of the eighties.
Movie Review: The Hunger.... a modern classic Summary: 5 Stars
While this movie may not be for everyone -- it is certainly on a must-see list for anyone who likes Bowie (amazing performer), Sarandon (I love her!), or Deneuve (she absolutely gorgeous). Or, if you just love anything vampyrical, add this to your collection.
The fashion, sexuality, and music make this a trip through time back to the 80's for me everytime I watch it. It might seem dated for some people - it's not a typical Hollywood Vampire flick. (Which is, of course, why so many people love this film). Buy the dvd, dim the lights, and curl up on the couch with someone you like.

Movie Review: Undead, undead, undead... Summary: 5 Stars
From the deep voice of Peter Murphy singing for the entry sequence to the bourgeois smoothness and twisted moral of the bloodsuckers, this film got me all nostalgic for the decadence of the eighties and its impossible hairdos(the kind of nostalgia felt for what you never got to live, as I was too young at the time).
A movie with the SCOTT trademark all over it: the timing of the sequences all Tony, plus a distinct Ridley influence on the misty visuals. I remember seeing this movie a few years ago, but I certainly didn't remember how marvelous it is. Now I know, and I had to tell...
