Movie Reviews of The HiddenMovie Review: Wha... Summary: 4 Stars
entertaining but my question is. why did this get four stars and starship troopers 2 has been bashed at every street corner, they are the same filmk different story and universe. that being said its an entertaing flick of paranoia and fear of everyone around you not because of who they are but whats inside them. people say its not an original film but list time i checked they arent and other movies with alien space-slugs using people as hosts. body snatchers actually replaced them with alien copies. in this they are the same people just infected.
Movie Review: Quite a ride once it gets rolling. Summary: 4 Stars
A cop and an FBI agent (Michael Nouri and Kyle Machlachlan) team up to stop an extraterrestrial being that switches from body to body. Entertaining mix of action and horror starts off with a real bang with one of the best car chases in cinematic history, slows down considerably for awhile before jumpstarting with several thrilling shootouts and chases in the second half. Jack Nouri's solid direction and Machlachlan's and Nouri's fine performances make this one of the better action/horror films around. *** 1/2 out of *****
Movie Review: Excellent Hollywood-style Entertainment Product Summary: 4 Stars
Based on a Hal Clement novel from the late 40's, The Hidden is an excellent updating of a sci-fi classic. A near-perfect mix of basic science fiction, fast paced action, humor and B-movie thrills, The Hidden also features excellent performances from the leads and supporting actors and great special effects. I personally classify this as a drive-in movie, but that does it a disservice, particularly when you compare it to the usual crappy product out there. Makes a great double feature when you pair it with Tremors.
Movie Review: Great movie with little extras Summary: 4 Stars
If you expect the same extensive extras as released on the Collector's Edition LaserDisc by Lumivision, you'll be disappointed. Unfortunately, special features like behind-the-scenes photos, production material, original sketches or isolated music & effects track are missing. Only the commentary track, the special effects footage and the original theatrical trailer are included. But in return you get for the first time a Dolby Digital 5.1 version of this originally mono recorded cult classic.
Movie Review: Kill Those Smarmy Car Salesmen!! Summary: 4 Stars
This movie takes a tentacled stab at the Human Race. A great sense of humor throughout the film. Wild special effects. Surprised faces on nearly everyone in the movie! If you need a worthy SCI-FI flick for your collection this would be a good choice. Very re-watchable for the [gory scene/surprised faces] laughs alone.
