Movie Reviews of The GuardianMovie Review: Pleasantly Surprised Summary: 5 Stars
I avoided seeing this in the theater thinking it wasn't going to be any good. Now I could kick myself. Saw it on cable and was pleasantly surprised. Ashton did a really good job, the story was moving and entertaining. Although the plotline kind of got muddled toward the end I can see why they did it that way. It was a good flick.
Movie Review: Excellent Summary: 5 Stars
A movie that give praise to the good work the men of the Coast Guard do.
It also shows what the men of the coast guard endure and their commitment to the job and their fellow man. The men of the Coast Guard should be praised more than they are, they are real heroes who are not given the admiration and awards due them.
Movie Review: Thank-you Summary: 5 Stars
I loved the movie opening to end. I'm not going to write an epic review but rather would like to just say a much needed THANK-YOU!!! To all the men and women in the USCG. I felt that after watching the movie I had a new found appreciation to the sometimes "forgotten" part of our military forces.
Movie Review: Costner as a Coastie Summary: 5 Stars
This is a very good, in fact an excellent story about the Coast Guard Swimmers. I wathed them in action during the Katrina Hurricane aftermath in New Oreleans, and was impressed by their expertise. The extras with the DVD are enlightening and as interesting as the film itself.
Movie Review: A Surprise! Summary: 5 Stars
This movie was a complete surprise. I had forgotten what a good actor Kevin Costner is. A friend shared a view and the next morning I went a purchased this one. Predictable but good. Aston Krucher (?) is a surprise. He is believable, made me care about the character.
