Movie Review: True to the title
Summary: 5 Stars
This was very close to the real thing, being a movie there has to be some license to expand, but the training and bonding and getting in that bird and hearing 5 minutes to Bingo brings back shiver down your spine memories - Movie is worth watching for sure. After the Hurricanes, the USCG became the FDNY of 2006, I just dont think you will ever find Coasties going in a squid bar for any reason.Movie Review: Excellent

I especially wanted to see this movie, since my son is in the Coast Guard. He says that the CG helicopter pilots say that it is very realistic. The scenery is spectacular and the rescues are intense. The extra scenes on the DVD show how they made the movie and they were very interesting. Shows one of the jobs that the Coast Guard does every day to protect our country. This was a fantastic DVD on how the Coast Guard rescue teams save lives, and how they are willing to risk their own lives to save those at sea. I'm a Captain of my own sailboat and have been to sea many times and it's good to know that there are people out there willing to risk their lives to save ours. This film gives a great look not just at Coast Guard rescue swimmers, but the Coast Guard in general. I truly enjoyed watching the movie. The lesson here is when your in the military on any type of team, it is not about you, the team comes first. I watched it several times since I got it. I saw this movie on opening weekend and it was incredible. I thought it was going to suck because I didn't believe that Ashton Kutcher could be anything but funny. I would buy it on the sole basis that Ashton is so beautiful in this movie. It's definitely a crying movie, I cried more than when I saw Homeward Bound. Buy it, Ashton is gorgeous.
