Movie Review: OMG! Oh Me GAWD! LAWD have mercy on us!
Summary: 5 Stars
Here I be sitting, on dis MLK JR mornin, surfin de tv on me day off as it be a holiday taday, and me runs into dis movie on Tuner movie classic channel.
I be laughing so hard watchin dis movie dat tears be jus a'bout coming down me face, thens me sits down on me puter and looks for if dis movie be on DVD cuz me just gots to haves it me says to me self!
Now I be saying this to everyones that watches dis movie NOT just some of the hearing impaireds in's our family and the millions of other deaf'ers out there, dat you MUST watch dis movie with de Closed Captioned, Subtitles on, on me Lawd you will bust a gut! At times the caption says "Lord", but most of de time it says "Lawd", and so many times that if you be not busting a gut be de end of dis movie you flat have no's funny bones in ye body and be to "stiff necked" ! ( yes that's in the bible haha )
And no's I be not racist in my writing dis re'vuw ( review) , on de contrary, the re'vuws I be seeing about dis movie talk about " back then" how tings be, well its about de same today, only people are hidden about da's racism. Its not all as overt as it be back then's. everyone should watch this movie, people of all colors, just so we all can talk open about ourselves and quit being so "shut down" about ourselves.
As Dave Chappell says in this 21st century, as he gets flack for saying the N word, he says he does it so we can all have an honest discourse with ourselves.
So lets stop "hiding" behind the veil's of ignorance in our brains.
I am totally serious about this movie actually is a good tool for all of us to open up with each other.
The "can't we all just get along" is not happening.
The proof is how many white people have a close black friend?
Not many, if none at all.
How many black people have a close white friend?
Not many, if none at all.
Everyone is so "inward", into themselves, that they don't even want to "step out of the box" and even try to step out.
And well, this rings true in pretty much the whole world over, not just the USA.
People of color the world over are slowly changing.
Laughter is the best medicine right? And when "people" can laugh "with" and not "at" a situation, then suddenly things "begin" to change right?
Sample, how many times do couples, husband and wife, or friends, laugh "at" something about themselves, and "then" they get pissed off "at" each other.
Then what happens when/if the situation is laughed not "at" but "with", ( or over the situation ) , then its all okay, right? -Right
WE all have a long ways to go.
Lawd willing, but de Lawd is not going to help anyone that does not open up and try, and until WE all recognize and get real about the same God that made you made me and all of us, then nothing is going to change.
Lastly, In honor of this day off, what did Martin Luther King Jr say? He said the greatest hour of segregation is Sunday at 11am.
That's changing, so there is "hope".
MLK, a PhD by 28, Nobel Peace Prize by 34,
could have been anything he wanting to be,
could have been richer than most people reading this right now,
dies on a balcony,
helping garbage workers,
( In the 20th Century ).
Lawd help us all, or come quickly and end this stupid planet, to much pain for to long for so many people, for MILLENNIA!
For real.
Hopefully Amazon will not delete this review for putting in Scriptures, as I am doing this to show a point, and after all, it's a movie about De Lawd!
( notice how the last one below is from the New Testament, how many years, is in time frame, from Old T to New T ? long time! And how is it STILL today? Amazing isn't it? )
