Movie Review: One Laugh After Another!
Summary: 5 Stars

This film cracks me up! I have watched it numerous times over the years and I still find every scene just as funny as I did the first time I watched it!

Two families come together to make this a great film. John Candy plays the kind, caring family man out to enjoy a family vacation with his wife and two sons at a cabin out in the wilderness in an area he enjoyed staying in as a boy with his family. Dan Aykroyd and his wife and two daughters decide to surprise Candy and his family by joining them on their vacation. Candy's character and Aykroyd's character are brother-in-laws and they are complete polar opposites in every sense of the word. Aykroyd's character is an annoying creep that thinks he's better than the next guy and is always doing the oneupmanship thing whenever he can. Mix Aykroyd's character and that of Candy's character and you have one laugh after another! Sit back, watch and enjoy this film!

Movie Review: An 80s must have!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is one of my favorite films (that is a huge list by the way). As you may have gathered already it's about a family vacation that goes downhill when another family decides to show up with no invitation to join them in their cabin.

The comedy is perfectly 80s and a John Candy gem. Though some may say this is a family movie please be warned there is some minor use of "adult" language mostly A** and Sh** with a few adult situations. Movie ratings were not so strict back then so if you are a person who frowns on these things you might want to view it before you sit the family down to watch it, you have been warned.

Anyhow, if you like John Candy, Dan Aykroyd, or anything 80's buy this movie you won't regret it.

A top notch 5 out of 5.

Movie Review: Blue-Collar Comedy
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie isn't some cutting edge, high brow comedy. What this movie is, is a throwback to those summer vacations you spent with your family in the north woods. You remember those summer vacations where you dad picked the woods, or mountains for vacation. You may not have been thrilled because you wanted to go to myrtle beach, but you went. Well, that's what happens with the characters in this movie, but they (unlike you and I) get into a few misadventures. In the process, you get to watch several entertaining episodes. You'll laugh and be thankful your trips to the woods weren't this strange. All in all, the movie is a good time, and one the few instances in which dan aykroyd is watchable. A good blast from the 80s, so enjoy!!!!

Movie Review: There are scenes missing!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is one of my all time favorite movies. I expected to get the complete version that I have seen many times. This DVD does not have the part where Chet is trying to trailer out the speed boat from the rental yard and gets it hung up in the entrance. A local policeman approaches him about his driving skills and Chet tells him that he has an Illinois driver license. The officer replys, "it figures". I miss that part. Perhaps there are a few versions and there was one distributed in the Chicago/Wisconsin area that shown that friction between the residents that only we would understand. Another scenes is when a Muskie breaks the water and the little girls scream.Aside from that it still is a great movie.

Movie Review: "Now no more talking about bears, no more talking about unpleasent things"
Summary: 5 Stars

When Chet (Candy) decides to take his family on a wilderness vacation he was banking on fun, but his fun came in the form of his annoying brother-in-law Roman (Aykroyd) and his strange snooty family. All is lost for CHet, but we (the audiance) gain quite a bit of laughs at his expence. This film is a classic example of good clean fun. Laughs include a water skiing accident, some boat misshaps, a bear story and a bear attack and just plain general conversation (the hotdog conversation and my personal favorite is when Roman tries to calm his daughters nerves after Chet tells them all the bear story)...I promise you will love this film, from start to finish it's filled with Grade A entertainment.
