Movie Review: Great Great Gatsby Movie
Summary: 5 Stars
I have read Great Gatsby easily 15 times and I think this movie rendition is excellent. What makes it so good is the casting. Redford is perfect as Gatsby as is Farrow as Daisy and Dern as Tom. Waterston is just as I pictured Nick. The music is well chosen and the costuming is superb. The only thing I missed at the end was not hearing the last words of the book "so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past." (I did that from memory; if not exact, it should be close)Movie Review: Great Movie!

The critics struck out on this one. This is a great movie that follows the book very closely. Redford, Farrow, and Waterston really bring this film to life. Visually loaded, the movie has all of the Gatsby excesses one might expect to see. Highly recommended, this is a classroom friendly version of arguably the best American novel ever written (exception Catcher in the Rye?).Movie Review: VERY SAD!

Saddest book I've ever read and saddest movie I've ever seen.The book was excellent and the actors' played the parts with great accuracy (Gatsby's neighbor is one of the attorneys from the Law and Order series). If sad is what you're looking for, then read the book first, then get the movie. The only "chick flick" that a guy wouldn't mind watching!

the book is one of my favorites and this movie captures the books emotion. I think the story of gatsby is a very sad story but a story that most of us go through. Excellent product in excellent condition. Packaged safely and received promptly as promised. I've enjoyed the DVD very much. Tried to purchase at a local place but was told it will not be available at all...decide to give Amazon a try and results are very satisfactory. Communication with purchasing Dept has been excellent!
