Movie Review: Hilarious spoof

I first watched the Godthumb at my friend's house, and although hesitant at first, found that it was a hilarious spoof. Even if you haven't seen any of the Godfathers, this should still be funny for you (but you should know main points in the original film such as the horse's head). The Godthumb, his sons and his enemies all deliver great humor and make fun of the stereotypical gangster, as well as exaggerating conecepts such as Robert Duvall as the Irish adopted son, or Sonny as a "hothead". I would highly recommend this as your first thumb-action movie.Movie Review: The Godfather is all thumbs!!!

This was a good spoof of The Godfather but it was kind of gross when he was eating the cats. I liked it and others will too if they liked the Martin Scorcese-Marlond Brando film. Steve Oederik is a good spoofer. The scene where Sonny got shot at the NJ Tpk toll booth was done w/coins and the scene w/the horse's head was done. It was cute BUT short. I wish O Productions did these Thumb Movies a little longer...at least 45min. You pay $10 to $12 each for a 28min short.Movie Review: Thumbelina got nothing on you babe

THE GODTHUMB - is another of Steve Odekirk's (Bat Thumb, The Nutty Professor ) crazy and zany parodies using the thumb as the performers in this take-off of the Godfather films.Every major memorable scene from the original Scorsese Godfather film is parodied in the most hysterical way. From the horses head to the son who want to start a business to the other son who doesn't get along with anyone to the Hollywood producer who is not giving in to what the Italian Don wants.
The Italian dialects are hysterical. This is a very creative, mini sets, costumes and hysterical music to accompany the absurd joke of a classic film and a timeless parody of obvious gags. The story is consistent and the gags very obvious.
The DVD extras include the outtakes, which are funny and CAST interview with each of the thumbs. Chips film is clever, funny and extremely unique in style. The other films you should check out are the parodies of Star Wars called Thumb Wars, parody of Titanic called Thumbtanic and the parody of the Michael Keaton Batman called Batthumb. See my reviews of each of them. This is extreme fun for the whole family. (12-9-02)
