Movie Review: A Must-See for Cate Blanchett Fans
Summary: 5 Stars
In general, a very well-acted and interesting movie with absorbing psychological themes. Cate Blanchett and Giovanni Ribisi, as always, are excellent, and Greg Kinnear and Keanu are good too. My only problem with the cast is Hilary Swank as a battered, ignorant, poor-white person. It just does not wash in this case, even though a similar character was so believable in Boys Don't Cry. Hilary's performance is a mild annoyance throughout this movie which is excellent overall. Recommended!Movie Review: A Southern Witch

After watching "The Mists of Avalon" and discovering that there are movies with magical women as the lead characters, I discovered "The Gift" starring Cate Blanchett. The movie is a supernatural thriller set in the South, in which Annie becomes involved in a murder mystery. Annie witnessed the crime with her "second sight". Annie is the local fortune teller, reading run cards. This is a great murder mystery, and Katie Holmes gets naked in it for some unknown reason.Movie Review: Excelently acted mystery

A very well acted, who-dunnit film. Kate Blanchet is simply excelent and Keanu Reaves actualy acts in this movie. I originaly saw this movie in Prague, Czech Republic in an old movie theater and instantly from the first moment,was drawn into the movie. All of the actors in this movie were cast perfectly for the the characters and nowadays you can't say that about too many new movies. I recomend this movie to anyone who has'nt seen it and it's really worth the money.Movie Review: good movie

I liked this movie, but I'm giving it 5 stars becuz Katie Holmes is a fine piece of tail with a great body that she wonderfully displayed in this movie, and that is why I originally saw this flick in the first place. Keep takin them clothes off katie, you prized piece. Seriously this movie is real cool though in a What lies beneath type of way, but Evil Dead 2 is the Sam Raimi movie I own and love to watch, it's one of my favorite movies and it is so friggin funny.Movie Review: It is really The Gift.
