Movie Reviews of The Fugitive: Season Three, Vol. 2

Movie Review: My take on the Fugitive on DVD....
Summary: 5 Stars

I have been reading many of these reviews, and all these complaints on the music. If you all keep this up they will probably not release the fourth and final season. Or they will take their sweet time in doing so. It was enough where they had a delay on season 2 vol 2, for the music issue, and I was wondering why, until, they offered us an exchange, which I did not even bother with. I knew some of the music had changed when the first season came out. The theme music at the end of the show was a big give away, especially in one epsiode, " See Hollywood and Die" which was in the first season and aired 7th in the season, and one of my favorites, there was one part, where, the music maybe it was 10 seconds or a bit longer, which which I believed was the heightened part of this episode, where Kimble, was held hostage, along with guest star Brenda Varrcaro after a foiled gas station robbery, whereby Kimble's boss was killed, by two hoodlums portrayed by guest stars Chris Robinson and Lou Antino.

In, this peace of music in the original score it was better and different its impact did bring Kimble and Brenda together in their desperate plights, as she recalled to Kimble in the car, why she was she was running, and they had to play it off, by the two getting initmate, so they could stall to try and get away from these two hoodums, with Kimble trying to tell Brenda that he was on her side despite his facade to the hoodums he had just done some time and was planning a job where he was going to include them, it was great seeing Kimble act hard and tough with these two young hoodlums.

So I compared this epsiode with a taped copy just to be sure, since this "See Hollywood and Die" was not out for release on VHS, and yes as I said above there was a difference. However, ok it was, and it bothered me a little at first. However, everybody else wants to know why CBS is altering or deleting the music in certain areas. Maybe somebody should ask CBS why the music has been altered or if they have then why are they not saying. Maybe parts of the music cannot properly be restored, who knows. The long and short of it is, the story line remains, and that is what the viewers are watching. At least, I am. However, if the picture was off or there was static in the DVD's, or the audio portion was of poor quality, yes that would be bothersome in any DVD set, but that was not the case.

I never thought they would release this show and frankly, its taken to darn long to get three seasons out of a four year run. It bothers me when I have to pay for two volumes for one season or wait to get the other half if all the seasons do come out, they will probably at some time after this waiting, make it into a full set series for sale. In my opinion, CBS is one of the better quality videos, granted their cases are cheap and I do not like reading the summary of each show behind the disc or having to pull the sleeve cover out to look at it. However, its much better then buying bootleg discs and that is what I had to do, before they finally released this show or the few they released on VHS, in the 90's.

If you do not like it do not buy it end of story. Or rent the set and if its not to your liking fine you have not lost a penny.
Some of you people are just to obbessional, after all this is a 40 year old some odd year show we are talking about. Anyway, I am just tired of hearing the same thing about the music, if you really like and appreciate the show and are paying attention to that, you would not be so worried about the music, and just to give the DVD set a bad review because of the music, is a travsity, as obviously, you are not interested in the story itself, instead are worrying at what intervals you notice the change or replaced version of the music. I do not see how you could enjoy the story if you are so obbessed about the background music. There are no odd noises that I have had heard, and I think the show is great as it was when I first watched it as kid in the 60's. I am looking forward, and hope they put this series to rest and expediate the release of season 4. Thank-you
