Movie Review: THE FRIGHTENERS

THE FRIGHTENERS is a wild, well-made, horror comedy that has alot of good special effects. In the small town of Fairwater, healthy people are dying from 'heart attacks,' but they are actually being murdered by an evil spirit known as The Grim Reaper. The only person in town who could possibly stop The Reaper is Frank Bannister, a psychic investigator who has the ability to see dead spirits. THE FRIGHTENERS is a good movie but it's also very underrated and not that many people have seen it, so I suggest you go out and pick it up now!Movie Review: If my friends like it, you gotta get this.

I never saw the movie before but bought it because I was curious. This movie is great. I recommend this to anyone who likes movies. The DVD is excellent and the sound is superb. I'm glad I added this to my collection. My friends were very skeptical about it because they never look for a movie starring Michael J. Fox in it but they were shocked at how good it was. This movie had some great special effects in it. All of the acting was great, even Horse Tooth Busey,Jr. was cool. Get this, you won't regret it.Movie Review: Like A Rollercoaster

The Frighteners is wonderful. It is the best film Tim Burton never made. What a ride! Can you honestly think of a film that is more of a headtrip? Not even Being John Malkovitch can match the visual flare and out of control meyhem that The Frighteners offers, and Spike Jonze is one of my favorite directors! The effects and visual flair are amazing, and the performances are well suited (Jeffery Combs steals the film, my god, he is incredible.) I am amazed I haven't heard more about this movie. If you have a good Subwoofer and solid doors in your room you will love this DVD. The story is entertaining and keeps you involved. The special effects are extremely well done but not over done. If your Sub won't go down to 16 Hz, you won't hear, or feel, all of the quality. Buy it, you will love the story, special effects and especially the sound. This is a DVD you will want to experience over and over, if you have a good 5.1 system and Sub.Movie Review: great

This is one entertaining horror flick, the performance of Michael J. Fox is great as usual. The plot is far from bored and shallow. We can be terrified and entertained from the beginning til the end of the film.
I've seen the movie more than couples time but I just bought the DVD from Amazon. Too bad the cover I've received is different from the one shown on the web :(
