Movie Review: Under rated, under appreciated, and under the radar- a missed gem from the 1990s
Summary: 5 Stars
i first saw this movie when i was 8 or 9 and I was so mesmerized, I just loved it! Several years later I found it on DVD (I'm now 21) and snatched it right up. The movie is very stuck in the 1990s but I think that's one of the things that makes it so great. Their dialog, the way the people are dressed, the way most of them look, its stuck in this whirlwind of pre-grunge 1990s glory. The leads have great chemistry resulting in a very nice romance story with a very satisfying ending. As a bonus, Sid Haig and Morris Day make excellent additions to the cast! I also like's its little messages threaded throughout such as safe-sex (you never see condoms in movies which is quite irritating), don't drink and drive, protect the environment, and my personal favorite: bigots are uncool so don't be like Ashley. The music is also something to love in this movie: from the soundtrack to the actual score music, its all infectiously delicious!!! Plus Laura Herring is a Goddess of Beauty and Jeff James is absolute hotness as well. When I was a little girl just I adored the character of Jason- a real nice guy, charming, and very handsome...
