Movie Reviews of The Fisher KingMovie Review: A Modern Classic Summary: 5 Stars
Simply put this is a great film that I'm thrilled to have on DVD. The whole cast shines especially Mercedes Ruehl and Amanda Plummer. The Grand Central ballroom scene proves once more that Terry Gilliam is a wonderful director. By the way, the scene with Michael Jeter delivering a singing telegram to Amanda Plummer is one of the funniest scenes ever.
Movie Review: Overlooked and Robin at his BEST, incredible writing WOW Summary: 5 Stars
This movie is amazing. Don't sit there wondering if you should watch it, trust me on this one. It starts out fast, keeps running the whole movie. Robin Williams deserved every award for his acting, he will make you cry, laugh, think. I don't know what else came out at the same time, but Fisher King was better. Totally worth a look.
Movie Review: Yet Another Terry Gilliam Masterpiece Summary: 5 Stars
Try not to be put off by Robin Williams (trust me, its not overacting!), and stay with this remarkable story of Pain, Healing, Redemption, Love and Understanding. If you enjoy great acting, action, and astounding filmaking, sit back and enjoy and feel yourself touched and changed forever.
Movie Review: One of the very best Summary: 5 Stars
Where was the studio's PR department on this one? It's amazing how many people have never heard of this movie when I recommend the video. I'm not going to go on and on raving, but just wanted to include my five star rating to the two other five star ratings already listed.
Movie Review: Why Robin Williams didn't get the Oscar, I'll never understand.. Summary: 5 Stars
Phenomenal movie. Why Terry Gilliam is one of the finest filmmakers ever. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor. Micheal Jeter also deserves complete respect for his performance as well. Did you see Tom Waits? BOOP! Go No Further!
