Movie Review: Fun workout with variety...
Summary: 4 Stars
In this 40 minute workout you will find a variety of cardio, step aerobics, low impact with options to add small hops or jumps, 4 limb aerobics using light weights, and a tall box section also using light weights. You will need the Firm's famous Fanny Lifter for this one, fully assembled for the tall box section, and using the short piece for the step aerobics. If you do not have the Fanny Lifter, a step stool and any step box would work. Light weights (3lbs are recommended)are also used, although the option of using no weights is also there.
Nancy Tucker leads this workout along with 4 fellow Firm Master Instructors including Libby who shows beginner modifications which in this video are no weights and low impact moves. They are all wearing turquoise colored tops and black bottoms, going with the matching color scheme that is common in the newer Firm videos. Nancy is a pleasant instructor, she offers helpful tips throughout and seems to be having a good time.
The choreography is easy to follow and Nancy does a decent job of cuing. The step moves are basic, basic steps, knee lifts, repeaters, over the tops, straddles and others. The other aerobic combinations are simple moves, nothing too tricky plus you have options to decrease the intensity should the need arise, Nancy offers polite reminders of this.
This workout is better suited for beginner/intermediate levels, advanced will find it too easy. But it's a fun workout, and I recommended for those who like a cardio variety and simple moves to get the heartrate up.
