Movie Reviews of The Firm - Balance Trainer KitMovie Review: Pretty OK Summary: 3 StarsI am an avid FIRM user and I was really excited to have something new to add to the collection. I was pretty confused at first because some of the moves are not exactly coordinated to the music at hand. She moves a little fast for beginners, but once you watch it a time or two you get pretty good at it. I would recommend this for a change when you want a slower paced, not-so-intense workout.
Movie Review: So-so Summary: 2 StarsThe disc is fun, but the workout itself is not very challenging. The instructor is not great at giving cues for next moves. Now that I have the disc, I only have this one workout.
Movie Review: Fabulous Workout! Summary: 5 StarsThis workout works every muscle in your body...you will be feeling it after you're done. Also, this dvd has the toughest ab routing I've ever done, and I have over 40 workouts. Tina gives friendly and prompt instruction, and the music is energizing and fun. If you're just starting out, dont put a lot of air in the disk at first. The only issues I have with this kit is the flimsy pump needle, and the fact that the music is off beat with the moves;it was some kind of production error.
Movie Review: Not really worth it Summary: 2 StarsI have been a FIRMie since 1996 and do not care for this video. Now, it does challenge your balance and the ab section at the end is good, but it's not challenging enough for advanced exercisers, in my opinion. Like I said, if you want to challenge your balance this is a good one to get, otherwise, pass.
Movie Review: Disappointed..... Summary: 3 StarsI've been working out with The FIRM products for almost 3 years now. I was HUGELY disappointed in the Balance Trainer workout DVD, however.
My first frustration is that whoever directed or edited this DVD chose not to show full body shots, INCLUDING THE FOOTWORK (which is critical), on this workout. Many times I was unable to get back in step, also, because Tina's direction was SO POOR and the steps were not choreographed to match the beat to the music.
I will probably continue to use the workout, but I may just fast forward to the abs / floor workout components which were quite challenging.
Huge disappointment, as I said.
