Movie Review: A Day to treasure
Summary: 4 Stars
For fans of Doris Day, this is a welcome reminder of her huge talent.
A much underrated singer, she could do every thing, sing Dance, and was a consummate actress, either in comedy or drama.
It good to see her teamed with another sometimes forgotton performer, Perry Como....thay make an attractive couple, and the pity is that Doris did not do more Musical Spectaculars for television. Look out for her only other one "Doris Day Today"...if you like Doris you'll find both of these dvd's two to treasure, and if you dont know her work you are in for a journey of discovery and rare pleasure.

A Rare & Delightful Day For Music Lovers! Film and recording superstar Doris Day stars in her first television music special, singing a collection of her greatest hits (It?s Magic, Sentimental Journey, Secret Love), Showtunes (Who Will Buy? from Oliver, Hurry, It?s Lovely Up Here from On A Clear Day You Can See Forever), and other pop classics such as Both Sides Now, The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy) and the Beatles' Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da. Special guest Perry Como performs Didn?t We and duets with Doris for a nostalgic medley of songs, including Everybody Loves A Lover, Quiet Nights Of Quiet Stars, When You Were Sixteen and Let Me Call You Sweetheart. With her pet dogs, Doris offers You Must Have Been A Beautiful Baby and joins a dance troupe for The Gypsy In My Soul and Them Was The Good Old Days.
