Movie Reviews of The Devil's Arithmetic

Movie Review: Heart-wrenching
Summary: 5 Stars

We had a week long study of the Holocaust. We watched this movie with 7th and 8th graders. I think it was the first time that you could hear dust fall in the classroom. It is meaningful and heartwrenching and is a good starting point to discuss persecutions that are happening around the globe today.

Movie Review: The Best I've Seen in a Long Time
Summary: 5 Stars

The Devil's Arithmetic is one of the most inspiring movies that I have seen in a long time. If you want to know about the Halocaust, then this is the film for you. Be sure to have a tissue handy, for you will be blessed thru tears and laughter. You'll learn to love God's people, the Jews, as I have.

Movie Review: The Devil's Arithmetic
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great movie to show middle and high school students. It relates well to their lives and is a good representation of events of the Holocaust. My students were very engaged in the movie and wrote good essays about the film and how it relates to the Holocaust and discrimination.

Movie Review: Best Holocaust Film
Summary: 5 Stars

The DVD itself came from Amazon in pristine condition. This movie is the closest thing to realism and graphic displays of inhumane treatment of people that you can get. It's a good film, and will leave you with something to think about in regards to one of history's darkest times.

Movie Review: Every teenager should have to see this...
Summary: 5 Stars

I saw this movie on Showtime many years ago and didnt recall the title...so i finally took the time to search for it by content - a teenager relives the Holocaust...very touching movie that explains tradition...every teenager (and some adults) should have to watch this.
