Movie Review: If your looking for scary, this isn't it.....

This was a rather fun bizzar movie dealing in aspects of ESP and a physo doctor that returns from the dead to make his zombie army. Truly bizzar, though my wife and daughter thought it was cheesier than all get out. I felt it was at least deserving of 3 stars.Movie Review: The dull pit

Dead Pit is another forgotten micro-budget zombie movie that doesn't offer much new or make any attempt to stand out. That's not to say every zombie movie should attempt to re-invent the genre, but The Dead Pit barely even pulls off the typical conventions adaquetely.
It seems that a mental ward physician has been experimenting with the dead bodies of his patients, that is until a colleague gets fed up and kills him, leaving his body sealed within the titular "dead pit" along with his victims. Flash forward twenty years later, an earthquake has managed to free the reanimated zombie doctor who then wreaks havoc upon the nut house once again, with his army of living cadavers in tow.
Largely by-the-numbers b-movie fare that occassionally catches your eye with some decent gore effects and some cool atmospheric lighting. Apart from those sparse moments, Dead Pit is quite dull and far too lengthy for what it is. Truthfully, even the most unconditional low budget horror lover will probably have a hard time finding much to enjoy here. Recommended only for genre completists, for anyone else, be warned that The Dead Pit probably isn't diamond in the rough you're hoping for.
