Movie Review: Scary!

Well, it takes place in Kansas City at first. Then all the sudden minute man missles are launched. Giving time and warning to the citezins. BOOOM! People get vaporized to a crisp. And the afterwards is very shocking...
I got one bad complaint about this...
My grandpa worked on those kind of missles. And he said that bomb shelters would be penetrated by that kind of fire power. Also radaition would sink in too the walls so the whole first hour of it could happen. But what if you did live after a nuclear attack? This brings us looting and gun shooting in the streets. It seems all so dramatic. But still it's a good movie. Hollywood...
Movie Review: One of the best TV Movies

Most Made for Television have a lot cheese in them and after a few days the viewer forgets about them. But "The Day After" is different. Made in the early 1980's it shows the effects on nuclear war on the Kansas City area. These are just average people who are put worst situration that could ever happen. Starting Jason Robards, Steve Guttenburg, and JoBeth Williams we see how their characters would survive if it really happen. The DVD tranfer is great, but there are no extras. But don't let that stop you "The Day After" is a must for any fan of the end of the world stories.Movie Review: Still Scary After All These Years

I saw this movie when I was a kid....I'm now 55. It is STILL one of the most frightening movies about a possible nuclear holocaust. Even though it is dated in the time period it represents, it's a very graphic look at what could happen to everyday people in the US after the event. Scary. And I'm a teacher and I intend to show my students so that they will hopefully never let it happen. I highly recommend a look....Movie Review: Must Have/Must See Movie!!!!!

Excellent drama, outstanding acting. This movie is timeless. It is something that every person in the world should watch. This movie really makes you think about how blessed we are. It also shows, quite accurately, how people would react to this kind of disaster, and why we need to prepare for all types of disasters. A dynamite film, really makes you think about what COULD have happened. I always wondered why the network never re-ran this movie. My wife missed it in '83 because of a night class she had. She only had to wait 26 years to finally see it. It was just as good the second time around. The impact of these images is almost too intense to describe. You really have to see it to appreciate it.
