A cautionary tale showing the dangers of misguided societal pressure, and the importance of leaders that should lead society, instead of following it. This movie dramatically brings to life the play we all had to read in school. Well directed with many of the best actors giving outstanding performances. A must see film.Movie Review: Bravo

I've never seen the play, so I can't really say if it was a faithful adaptation or not. But from what I saw, this was an excellent film. I've read a book about the Salem Witch trials before, and this seemed to be pretty much the same thing with the exact same events and characters. The gradual advance of hysteria in a community, and the abuse of power that results, is a lesson for all who hope to live in a rational and just society.
